Sonicwall VPN

By TL32 ·
Have anyone had experience setting up Sonicwall Group VPN at site "A"? I got the SA going and it accepted connection from a remote site "B" running DSL. No, site "B"'s firewall is not configured to VPN with "A", but I got it to connect. However, when I used dial-up from a laptop. It just sat there and didn't do anything. I am using Sonicwall VPN client on the laptop and import the SA configuration from the VPN host. Plus I have port forwarded IKE straight to the IP of the firewall. What's next? What apps do I run while it's utilizing the tunnel? Thanks a million for any help.

try accessing the sonicwall admin interface. It should try to establish vpn.
The information you have given is very vague. Are you using shared key? more information would be helpful.

I am using shared key and when site "B" connects to "A", I could see the tunnel is established from the admin interface by using PCAnywhere.

Who is your dial-up ISP? Make sure they support IPSec Pass-through. Some ISP's (AOL & Compuserve to name 2) block IPSec Pass-through so you can't use VPN over that. If you need an ISP that does allow, try earthlink.
