I have a SonicWall Pro Firewall appliance that has VPN capabilities. I am on a NetWare 5.1 environment. I am testing the VPN functionality of the SonicWall in my environment. I setup the VPN on the firewall, exported the settings, installed the client on a laptop, imported the settings, and tested it. The VPN works well. I am able to get inside my network and communicate with different devices and tools via IP. In order to log-in to the NetWare services, I had to edit the hosts file on the Windows 2000 workstation and make an entry for each one of my seven servers. After that I was able to log in and work with all but one of my servers. I looked at the hosts files and the entry is set up right, DNS is working because it resolves the name when I try to ping the server, I tried pinging the server using the IP address instead and that did not work either, I checked IP communications on the server and it seems to be working great. When not using VPN, the computer logs in fine to the NetWare environment. Is there anything that I am missing? Please help.
