I have an older Sony Tape drive that is giving me a variety of problems. It plugs into a parallel port connection and their doesn’t appear to be any installation problems. However when I attempt to use it strange things happen. The fact that I don’t have an instruction manual is probably about 90% of the problem since I have no experience with tape drives of any kind. I attempted to find drivers for it at Sony with no luck. After have messed with it to the point where I finally screwed my system up so bad that I had to reformat, I yanked it out and have it sitting on a shelf in my garage. Should I leave it there, throw it in the trash or does someone have an idea how I might be able to get it to work?
