Hi my laptop will not start, on pressing the power on button, I get a green power on light followed immediately by the hdd led lighting amber momentarily at the same time that the floppy drive fires up.. the laptop crashes at this point going completely dead.. this happens each time I press the power on key. the whole cycle lasts not mor than a second and at no time is there any visual or audible error codes.
floppy drive faulty? maybe the cpu?
p.s. inserting a disk in the drive has no effect other than you here it try to spin up.
please help
