Sony Vaio …Group Policy…Network Administrator Help

by chayil714 . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

Hi, I purchased a Sony Vaio display from Conn’s Electronics 1 Month ago, and today is the first day that I tried to connect wireless to no avail. The network location is stating that I am in a “public place” and that it needs to be changed to home in order to detect the wireless device. When I attempt to go to the network / sharing center to change the network location, the “customize settings” is not found as the Sony Vaio help stated it should be. The help also stated that if “customize settings” is not found, to contact the network administrator bc the network may be part of a domain. Would the network admin be Conn’s, Sony, or myself? I am the administrator, but I don’t know if I am the network administrator. Thanks for the help and I hope I don’t sound like a complete idiot.
