My 3.5 month old Sony Vaio has started booting up just fine, even connects to wireless internet, but after a couple of minutes stops responding. Downloads stop working, I can’t open/close folders or applications, etc. although the mouse arrow still moves. I must hard restart, and the computer wants to scan the drive upon restart.
The computer has not been abused and I have only added 3 very harmless applications (Chrome, MSOffice, AIM) and some Sidebar apps. It has a one-year warranty but just wanted to see if there’s anything I can do before giving up my laptop for who knows how long. Is labor covered under warranty?
