I have lost my sound on my PC. How can i fix it thankyou Gary Bankston

Have you instaled anything new? Pls elaborate what happend that stopped the sound. Maybe u just need the correct drivers to re-install. Or it could be more simpler like just enabling the sound.

Look in the system tray for speaker icon,if present double-click the speaker icon,then check to see if the volume control panel has the mute box checked,if so uncheck the box.

The next method of troubleshooting will be to right click on My Computer,select properties in the Device Manager panel check to see if their is a exclamation mark,if their is one then you will need to reinstall the sound card drivers.

Maybe try to unplug the soundcard from the PC. Then slot it in again, let Windows detect it.

If you are running windows 9x, try reinstalling your sound driver. An excellent sound driver (Crystal sound fusion) is a very good choice for windows 95/98. You can download this for your specific model computer at IBM.com.
