i have a system with an Abit KT& Raid motherboard. With the sound card fitted the system locks up. I also experience loss of the cable modem connection to the pc and communication problems between printer and pc. Both are connected via USB.
In device manager VIA tech 3038 pci to usb universal host controller is on irq 10 ans so is the sound card. If I remove the soundcard from the system the problems appear to go. I have tried changing IRQ settings but neither the usb controller or the soundcard will enable me to change their irq’s.
I have updated the BIOS.
any suggestions?
