I installed a sound card on my Win2000 pro machine. I checked in systms-> hardware-> device manager, it looks like installation is OK. I can also see ths sound sign in systems tray. The problem is that some how sound and mic are not working. I changed two sound cards but none of them are working.When i turn on computer it keeps installing driver by itself. Even i taken out sound card from slot and it installs CMI8330, Audio Codec, MPU 401 compatible MIDI device. It is not installing actual sound card driver, which i got with sound card. I changed 02 brand new cards but still have same problem. Any advise or opinion will be appreciated.
