dimension 4700 installed a video card works fine. everything works fine but then the sound will all of the sudden become distored like its playing it slow and scratchy. I checked my device manager shows no conflicts attempted to update the software no newer releases are available. went through the xp troubleshooting guide didn’t resolve it and i even dled a rightmark audio analyzer it states that the PROBLEM: The input level is low. Try to increase recording or playback levels in your mixer. although i am not recording. my card is a sound max. and I have dell zylux multi media computer speaker system powered sub woofer what else can i do.
