Sound card related question

By galahad04 ·
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any type of PCI sound card (past or present) that is compatible with and can play compressed .voc files. I currently have an Aztech Sound Blaster Pro II-compatible ISA sound card that can do this inside my retro-gaming PC, but I am considering removing it so I will have room for my Roland LAPC-1 and SCC-1 card to both be installed together (since I only have two available ISA slots). A PCI card that could play compressed .voc files would be the perfect solution for this, but as I understand it, most do not support the compressed .voc format. Any ideas would be appreciated -- thanks

voc--Soundblaster The extension ".voc" is most commonly used by the Soundblaster sound card. Although this is a proprietary format, Soundblaster is the de facto standard sound card for IBM microcomputers.

Thanks for trying to help -- my question though was about "compressed" .voc files, as opposed to standard .voc files, as they are different from each other. Thanks anyway though.
