sound is working in XP but win2k

Hi dear all,
I have dual boot. C:> win2k and d:> winxp
I have gigabyte motherboard with inbuilt
audio controler. In windows Xp sound works well and it shows audio controller as
intel(r) 82810 BA/BAM AC'97 AUDIO CONTROLLER.
well xp installed its driver by itself. but i dont get it in windows 2000. I installed required chipset provided but its not getting. in readme.txt of chipset it says it will identify above devide but i can not get it.. i just formatted the machine just before formating it was working in win 2k but after that i lost it. how to install audio driver for my inbuilt sound . can someone send me driver for it. it doesnt take sigma ,creative ac'97 drivers also. please help.

Do you have the Cd that came with the motherboard. If you try installing in the motherboard cd you will get all the drivers that you need. From what I am seeing from intel the intel(r) 82810 BA/BAM seems to be Video driver.

Try uninstalling, shutting down windows, and see if windows picks up the correct drivers on its own.
