Sound Problem

By Michael34 ·
Hello,
Does anyone know any tweaks or anything so that I can get Yamaha SoftSynthesizer S-YXG70 to install on Windows 2000 Professional? I have attempted to install it however It just comes up and says we need Windows 95/98 to run the installer. Is there anything I can attempt to do to get this working? It's for a local school that requires that sound synthesizer.

Thanks!

Hi

Copy the installer to the hard drive. Right-click the staller program and select Properties and then click the Compatibility tab. Check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and select the appropriate OS from the drop-down list.

Good luck

Hi,

Unfortunately the compatibility mode suggested in answer 1 is only available in Win ME and Win XP, not Win 2000.

No it is available for Windows 2000. You just have to register a DLL file to do it (regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll) to enable it although it still didn't fix the issue. Still asks for Windows 95/98
