I am having sound problems with my Satellite A-105 model Toshiba laptop. For the past few days all the sounds my computer has been producing (everything from music, to the windows start-up sound, to the “clicking” sound made when accessing a link) have been garbled and distorted. Music plays at the wrond speed (usually too slow) skips and sounds strange and echo-y, other sounds skip like crazy or sound extremely distorted.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing my sound driver from the operating system CD that came with the computer and I have downloaded the most recent sound driver from the Toshiba site and tried installing that, but nothing has worked. I’m not especially computer savvy and I have no idea what to do next! Help!
