Spam Filter

By john.cb1 ·
Can anyone recommend a spam filter that i can see in Outlook Express.

I want to use it in OE similar to spamfighter pro.
I have tried this software but i get the following problems

I have downloaded the SPAMfighter version 2.7.4, but once again I have problems.

1) After I have installed it I get the runtime error again which is C:\Program Files\Spamfighter\SPAMCFG.EXE.

2) When I install it does not configure in Outlook Express, when I open OE the software is not there.

3) When I go into windows it informs me that there is another Runtime error, this time the path is

C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe.

I am forced to uninstall the Spamfighter software and when I go back to open OE, everything is ok. I do not even get the runtime error in Item 3.

Can anyone tell me how to sort this problem out

Depending on the situation K( makes a good light weight Spam Filter that doesn't interfere with OE. For home use it works quite well but isn't a business product and it doesn't run in OE but runs beside it so there are no possible conflicts. You mark the incoming mail as Spam in K9 and then set the OE Message rules to send anything with Spam in the subject line to the deleted items folder and empty it automaticly when OE is closed.

Hi,
I use popfile, which works by classifying each email. It needs to be taught what you consider to be spam.
Rules are set in OE to save the emails in appropriate folders, I use the normal inbox and a spam folder. This allows me to check any emails classified as spam to make sure that none are of interest to me.
