Spanned drive

Is NTFS required for creating a Spanned drive on a set of dynamic storage hard drives.

Can you use FAT32, or is NTFS required when creating a simple volume or spanned drive.

Hello...

On a Dynamic Disk, you can format a simple or spanned volume as either NTFS or FAT32.

Note: An NTFS-formatted simple or spanned volume can be extended in-place. A FAT32-formatted simple or spanned volume cannot be extended without deleting it first. Of course, NEVER extend a volume without a current full backup available.
