I have 5 new PC?s that came w/Win2000, running Office 97. Of these five, two of them are Compaq iPaq?s (legacy-free). On BOTH of the iPaq?s, the spellchecker is not available to the USER in Word 97. Spellchecker is available to the system admin?s tho and it is available in the other Office apps. The other three Win2000 system?s are clones and this prob doesn?t exist on these 3 systems.
Removing and reinstalling Office97 does not resolve the problem.
Why is spellchecker available only to the admin?s and not the user?
And why is it available in the other Office apps and NOT Word?
I?ve perused Compaq.com and the Web and found nothing on this problem.
