SPOOL32.EXE error

I have a Win 98 pc that receives a SPOOL32.EXE error randomly. Somedays, it will happen several times, and there will be days between errors. I have replaced the SPOOL32.EXE file with a file that had a newer date, but same version. I am at a lossas what to do. Is there anyone that has had this problem, and has found a fix? Please let me know.
