Spring has come to London and it’s been here over a week with tempreatures in the mid 70s which, for early April, is ridiculous. It’s not all good, though and so I thought that I’d share this cautionary tale with you.
I was walking to the station to go home yesterday and I go the long way round across the centre of London (still doing it, Tig). As I crossed Fleet Street I was passed by another walker who, to be perfectly honest, had one of the nicest bums I’ve seen in a long time! I sped up a little to follow – for science, you understand – to use the movement of her bum cheeks as an exercise in orbital mechanics. I was so engrossed in my calulations of four-dimensional geometry that I upended straight over the seat in the photograph and nearly ended in the fountain.
The annoying thing is that when I told my colleagues my tale and showed them the cut on my leg, they had a whip-round to buy a “Get Well Soon” card for the stone seat!
