By john ·
I can't see, to remove spyware from my computer. I use AdAware and it has worked in the past however now it just keeps popping up and changing my home page. Any one have any ideas or help?

Hi John

Try these two links

http://www.bulletproofsoft.com/spy-download.html
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download

Sometimes Adaware doesn't pick everything up. I use Adaware with Spybot which is fairly comprehensive but had some problems recently which were only picked up by Bulletproof.

Good luck.

and if you got infected with the spyware while logged in under a different username, try logging in with all usernames and run ad-aware in all the profiles...

what i meant was, ad-aware can't remove some spyware if it was installed under a different user profile,
get a firewall like ZoneAlarm. you can at least block the sucker...

Personally, I don't feel like spending a load of cash to take care of spyware. I use the combination between Ad Aware 6 and Spybot, it has always done the trick. Don't pay for spyware removal programs unless you really have to (which is very unusual).
