By jim.brown ·
we are about to deploy a solution that has a SQL 2000 backend, this solution has a web portal for it's users this i supposed to be limited to there intranet.

what i would like to know is do you need to have a Internet connector licence for a Intranet connection?

Actually, i've spoken to Microsoft regards this,(i didn't realy want to but i got desparate) the answer I got from them was that because this is a web site that has a SQL backend, you'll never know how many uses are attached to you site/database at one time, so you will require a Proc licence, the proc licence comes with ICP licence anyway.
