This site proves(to me, at least) the advantage of the codex over the on-line book. Also, there are Informix extensions.

I suggest you to look at http://www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~shadow/sql.html

You will find complete sintaxt specification for SQL92 (or ANSY SQL2) and links to SQL database vendors.
