The company has a accounting software – Exact Globe that works with SQL 2000. Thre are 10 users of whicj 2 users keep on loosing connection to the SQL server after 5 minutes of not working on the program. Sometimes while they are working this also happens. The users then need to shut down their PC’s as the program then terminates and if they try to logon again without restarting the PC a message ” logon failed” appears.
The message that is giving me problems is displayed as follows:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Cannot generate SSPI context
SQL State: S1000
DB error 1364
EDL Error: An error has occurred in the execution of the ODBC function.
I have made sure that ‘named pipes’ and TCP/IP settings are enabled as well as ‘force protocol’ When this did not work I removed TCP/IP and only worked with ‘named pipes’and visa verse. However this did not fix the problem. I then created and DB alias, but even this does not work. All the other workstation don’t have this problem. Please could someone assist.
