Ok this one has me stumped, I’m getting desparate for help here. We were first presented with this problem this past Saturday when we attempted to move our half gig SQL Server 6.5 database from our old computer to a new Dell PowerEdge server. All indictations were as if it ported over to the new server without a hitch.
But now (on the new server) users are presented with repeated pop-up boxes asking them for a username to log on to the SQL Server database. To say this is annoying and killingproduction is the understatement of the decade.
I’m linking this to a repeated error in the event log which I just saw since the database was moved to the new machine. Verbatim it reads :
Error:17832, Severity:18, State:0
Unable to read login packet(s)
How do I go about resolving this?
PS. Points only awarded for proven solutions, I will test the solution before points are awarded.
Thanks.
