SQL Transaction Log takes all the space

Hello,

I’ve a SBS2000 and I have a problem with SQL Server 2000: One database log did grow up to fullfill the hard drive. Now I did limit it, but it’s 18gb while it should be a few mb. What sould I do to bring it back to the real size? Should I do an offline defragmentation? How?
