Heard that MS SQL2k is totally different from SQL v7. Is it? If so, any detail comparation.

In my opinion (I do not use much sophisticated feature of SQL Server), there is more different between SQL7-SQL6.5 than between SQL7-SQL2000. However, one nice feature of SQL2K may interest you. It allow running multiple instances of SQL server on same computer. For example, running SQL7, and 2 copies of SQL2K. You can find more detail on microsoft site (the link in previous answer is good).
