hi
you mean for different each user? i only know access control by password for all local users, whatever if you want to do, let me in.

create a file to store informations for local access users,
1. #touch /etc/squid/passwdtest

and change permition it for write access,
2.#chmod 666 /etc/squid/passwdtest

creat user name and password on it for each access user,
3. htpasswd /etc/squid/passwdtest user1

In main config file (squid.conf), find 'authentication_program'and uncomment the mention rule'(line 1044). (make sure to point correct location for ncsa_auth and passtest)

4.auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/ncsa_auth /etc/squid/passwdtest

then, go to Access Control option, and uncomment a rule that (line 1673 in my config file)
5. acl password proxy_auth REQUIRED

finally, add a rule sentence like the following(it must just be above 'http_access allow all' rule)
6. http_access allow password

that's all! restart the service of squid and try to test. sorry if any mistake. cos i'm a new linux lover. :)

sincerely,
seng
