Please let me apologize if this question has been asked previously. I have searched previous entries and haven’t found any solutions.
My problem is as follows:
Installed with FreeBSD, Kernel 5.4 STABLE, Squid 2.5 STABLE9, ipf, ipnat. Server hardware (BIOS) capable of restart following the restoration of power after power failure.
When the server reboots following a power failure the Squid service fails to load automatically. The server restarts no problem and all other services (e.g. SSH) appear to work properly.
When I manually log on the server and ‘reboot’ the Squid service will then function properly following the restart.
Can you please advise why this is happening and how to correct. Many thanks in advance!
