SSTab Control in VB 6

By setivi ·
In SSTab Control each Tab is its own container and should display any controls placed on it independently. But, when I place a simple command button on Tab0 or Tab1 the same button shows on all tab pages. The tab pages seem to share the same controls, and the controls are not displayed independently as the tab pages should behave.
What am I doing wrong???????

SSTab Control in VB 6

I tried doing what you said you did and it worked fine. The problem may be in how you placed the objects on the tabs. If you double clicked and then moved the command button to the control the button may think that they are completly independent and just displayed on top. To test this try right clicking on one of the command buttons and selecting send to back. IF the button dissapears behind the SSTab then you inserted the button incorrectly. To correct this select the commandbutton from the toolbar and then use a click and drag method to insert it.

Just to go a little further into detail:

You need to FIRST, click on the SSTab, making it the acti?ve control, and then select the command button from the tool box and draw it on the control. Otherwise the control gets placed on the form and not on the Tab control.

To correct the current situation without having to delete the control, you can select the control, cut it out using Ctrl-X, click on the SSTab, and then paste the control using Ctrl-V.
