search your c: drive or boot drive for the file config.sys

open that file with notepad
you will see a line that says stacks=xx
change that number (xx) to the number of stacks you need.
save the file and reboot for the new setting to take affect

Easy way to edit Config.sys
1. At the run command (start--select run- in the box that pops up) type Sysedit.

2. select the Config.sys box look for a stacks= statement. If there isn't one type stacks=9,256

3. In the top of the box go to file, select save.

4. close system editor, restart your pc.

If you still get a stack error message repeat steps only this time in the stacks statement change 9,256 to 32,128 (type it exactly how it appears in these examples commas and all.

Just a411- Stacks statements are used for older DOS programs and their memory management while they are running. Hope this helps : - )
