I’m looking for a stand alone webcam that has:
1) Built in Audio/Mic (2 way would be nice, but not 100% needed)
2) Decent picture (I need audio more than image quality)
3) Ethernet and/or Wireless built in.
4) Since it is stand alone its own web server (of some sort) that does NOT use ActiveX. Java is fine.
5) Something that works cross platform (Windows, Mac OS X, and *nix)
6) Cheapish. I’m trying to say under $300
I’ve see the Axis cams, but they don’t come cheap. What I really need is a cam that can move around and just “work” when plugged in. I don’t mind doing configuration on the backend, but on the front end it needs to be plug and play.
