Standard signature - Exchange / Outlook

By steven.cottom ·
I want to put a standard signature and a banner at the bottom of each outgoing email from my domain. Is there any way of doing this through Exchange?
I know you can embed images within Outlook but i would prefer to manage it from exchange.

Any help would be appreciated.

And do you want a standard message or a signature based on the user?

thanks for replying.

It is Exchange 6.5 on Windows Server 2003.

I would like each user to have the same signature but with their relevant name and job title.

I would also like an image banner across the bottom to promote the things that our company does.

hope this helps.

Ah, I guess that you mean 5.5?

by neilb@uk In reply to ...

If you do, then that's not something that I'm familiar with but I do remember that there isn't an option for a banner or other automatic text add-on. For that you'll have to search for third-party add-ons. I've just asked one of the guys that I know is good on 5.5 and he's suggested that you search for and, if you can get it, that will let you add a banner.

The signature is another matter altogether for 5.5 and I've no real idea.

I was hoping for 2003 at least, preferably 2007. Even 2010...

Sorry, i meant exchange 2003 sp2. 6.5 is exchange 2003.

I'll search for and have a look.

Thanks for the info.

You don't need - or want - Disclaimer for 2003

by neilb@uk In reply to ...

Unfortunately it doesn't get easy until Exchange 2007. Your best bet is to Google "Exchange 2003 disclaimer" and see if you can find a shareware/freeware add-on that fits your requirements. There are some shareware ones under $75US.

6.5? Never knew that!

by neilb@uk In reply to ...

I've just checked other versions. 2000 was 6.0, 2007 is 8.x and 2010 is 14.x.

Makes perfect sense!
