Start in Safe Mode only Too!!

My case is slightly different. I reinstalled windows. But, I still can’t completely boot to windows normal. I get a screen message “lmouse.vxd” & “lmul.vxd must have been deleted.
Then it automatically shuts the machine down.
I have the original98 SE upgrade disk and reinstalled. Now the “lmul.vxd” is ok but I still get the “lmouse.vxd” error message.
These files should be on the 98 SE disk. why didn’t it install the “lmouse.vxc”???
