START & STOP MS SQL SERVER

By danlebaron ·
I am running SQL Server on a windows 98 workstation. I need to have sql server and the sql server agent shutdown and restart at a specific time. What is the best way to do this and how??? Example shutdown at 9 pm and startup at 2 am.

you can create 2 batchs files to call the net stop in one and net start in the other. Then use "scheduled tasks" under Control panel, schedule one at 9pm to call the "net stop" batch file, and the other at 2am to call the "net start" batch file.

I ran this as you recommended but I receive an error message this is not the correct service. How do you find the services list in windows 98? I have tried everything possible.
