Start up problem – please help

by hardware_jinx . Updated 17 years, 6 months ago

Recently upgraded my desktop with:

Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H motherboard
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 6000 3.0GHz
4X1G 667 RAM (2 new Kingston & 2 old Kingsmax)

I have retained:
nVidia GeForce 7300GT and disabled the onboard graphics.
Old Asus case with 500W power supply.
Running XP Pro SP3.
Have NOT update BIOS.

Now, sometimes, the PC would not respond to power on, after wall power point is switch off for long period (over night).
What can I do to fix this problem?
Should I use the on-board graphics instead?

If case/psu need replaced – any suggestions?

Thanks for all the advices on RAM.
Merry Christmas!!!
