Can anyone tell me a quick fix for start up problems? I have done all of the diag. in the win help screen. I am running 98.2nd. Athlon, fairly new computer. When I restart or shut down, my system will get to the logon screen and then freeze up. Agreen line will be across the top of my screen. Sometimes it reboots itself, then has to do a scan disk for shuting down improperly. I have two computers which are networked, however, the green line happens even when the network is not connected. ps, this does not happen all the time, but often when I am loading software!
