Starting my own PC Technician business

By dinotech ·
I would like to get some information on starting my own PC Technician and support business. I am currently pursuing my A+, and plan on taking the Network + certifications. Is there a book or reference materials online that will help in starting myown business. There was a website called www.forpctechs.com that is selling a software package that explains how to get started in the PC Tech business, but it looks like a scam.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Starting a business

I have just got myself started as well, and all I can say is, you have to do a lot of hardwork yourelf to get there. There are no easy solutions on books that tell you what to do. find out about your local laws regarding self employment and tax etc., find a supplier, and go for it. get out there and make money.
Have confidence and don't be afraid to say I don't know, as it cause problems if you try to do something you can't.

Let's keep in touch and share info...

One of the greatest benefits from owning your own business is to share stories and experiences from one owner to the next. Even more so, if I get a referral for your area, I'd be more than happy to send you the business with no return on your part.Thats the other benefit; being able to help others. That is what I am about.

As far as making money, like you said...its hard but I will make it work!

take a look at www.forpctechs.com They have a program that helps people get started with a computer service business. I don't know if its worth 24.95 or not. I have reviewed the web site and it looks like it was built professionally but anyone can build a website these days.

Anyway, if you get time to look at it, let me know either here or in an email.

Thanks.
