Static Nat

By lyrosely ·
I want to configure the static nat in simulation software only, but I wonder if I can just map the client address to the outside router IP address or not!
Ex: ip nat inside source 192.168.1.2 203.189.128.1 ???
Will it work? Just want to know mapping is succeeded or not!

Thank in advance for your help,

Lyrosely

In what sort of simulator?

by seanferd In reply to Static Nat

What is it simulating?

On a router which is capable of this, what you want to create is called a Public Sub-routed Interface or similar.

I would have no idea whether your sim is capable of this or how to configure.

Dear Seanferd,

I am using Packet Tracert 5.0. I wonder if I can map the client IP in inside global to the IP address of outside router interface! Will it work?

Thanks,

Lyrosely
