static or dynamic IP

is it possible to run windows 2000 advanced server using a dynamic ip adress. i have eartlink dsl and have a router hooked up linksys ,cable dsl router to my network of 4 computers and have just got a web server, the router acts as a DHCP server andfire wall . but has DMZ to expose one computer to the internet .the only time my IP adress Changes is when i get diconnected from eartlink then have reconnect through the router set up. this does not happen often , the other computers on my network run windows 98. when i try to enable DHCP, and WINS on the sever it says i am usihg a dynamic IP adress and need to chage some settings but dont know which to change it takes me to network set up properties and no futher instructions fron there does anyone out there have an answer?
