Yikes.
I have a Sony VAIO desktop system purchased about 5 years ago. Everything has been terrific till we lost power and it switched to the UPS. Now it will not turn on again.
I’ve worked with Sony Tech support on this – their solution is to pay out of warranty repair costs, which are insane.
I found a MS article about a problem like this caused by a BIOS setting to “stay off” on power loss. I tried pulling the battery to see if that would reset things so I could change the BIOS setting, but still no power.
Any ideas? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Maria
