Stay or Not to Stay in Software dev.

    by pejopipi ·

Hi, I’am 36 year old male. I’am working in Soft.Dev past 14 years and now I’am making strategy for the future. My first step is researching. My primary skills are Organization/Planning/Communication/ Troubleshooting/Making Strategy. My primary tech skill are database(MSSQL and others in business solutions) and for coding I start from Basic/VB to C# and opensource PHP products OC,WP,Joomla like my secundary tools. I try to work with global companies with large kind of products( from buisiness app to industrial purposes) and now I work for small local company like senior eng for ERP(tsql, webapi…) I have very wide experiance from my past, but the my major problem is that I’didnt overcome to be a good senior for new technologies like asp core, mvc, newses frameworks, UX and etc. I had more priority to dellivery something that work than quality and I think that I dont have feeling for details and Iam not sure what is right way for me to learn new tech, because everything what I try, I try on easy way and than I had a problems. I’am definitely not a geek although I start coding when I was 10years old. I have all outdoor hobbies in the nature. Parallel with my tech skills Iam active in the local politics and Iam very ok to work with people. Iam not sure any more what is keeping me in this yob sallary, flex work or making solutions… I’am wondering should I start from begining with coding and take some trainings or try to do something else…
