Interested to know if anyone is having this problem: talking to many of my peers ( in software engineering field) I found that many of them are reasonably satisfied with their current job. But to consistently increase the salary, the only way looks like moving up into management. How would you go about it, or is there a good way to solve this dilemma (job satisfaction vs salary)?
