Hi, I have been working as a Business Analyst for the last 5-6 years. This involves working for various clients (in a variety of verticals – banking, government etc) mostly elicting business requirements and translating these to system requirements. This includes system design and modelling (UML, Use Cases etc.). This is all custom development or enhancements to existing software.
I have done some product evaluations (Aribia, Gretplains etc) in the past and want to do more of this again. I would like to do this from a business (or functional) perspective i.e. does this product meet the user’s requirements… as opposed to technical evaluations only. This may well be part of a response to an RFP.
Apart from being familar with a good range of products what other skills would I need to move into this direction?
