Stereo Headset/Boom Microphone

By albertr ·
I bought a Labtec Stereo Headset, but I do
not know how to plug it in my PC. There are
three plugs, in back of the tower box.
They are color coded. But I can not receve
sound in the head set. Do I have to un-plug
the speakers? Do I need to re-set the files?
Do I need a new sound card? If I can only use
one or the other, speakers or headset, at one
time, and then unplug, and re-do, this would
not be right. Can you help me?

Stereo Headset/Boom Microphone

Hi if you have speakers with a head phone skt on them then plug the headphones into this and the microphone will have to go in the back of the sound card pref the mic skt but the line in or Aux might have to do. If you do not have a head phone skt on the speakers then the only route is where the speakers plug in, you could make an adapter with a switch double pole double throw to switch between the to.

Best Regards

You headset speakers must be plugged into the same outlet as your desktop speakers, so yes you would have to swap them out. You can purchase a switch to allow switching between the two. The below url is just one of many that you can by the switch from.

Hope this helped,
