Still having problems with downloads

I am still having problems downloading the pdf files. I disabled my popup blocker and whenever I click on continue to view nothing happens and there is no other link that comes up that gives me the options to continue to download.

  If it is just with PDF files, there is a problem with the plug-in.
  Try this. Open Acrobat, go to
  edit — preferences
  go to
  Internet and uncheck “Display in a browser” click OK and re-try. If it is already unchecked, put a checkmark in it, this sometimes works too.

  This is no answer but rather a question for more detail. Which download links fail? A few examples would be helpful.
