Still unable to upgrade to Win 2000

I am still unable to upgrade my current Win 98 to Win 2000. I receive an error message saying
“file\$win_nt$.~bt\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. The error code is 7”

I have checked this error in the microsoft website and it said this error is due to an attempt to upgrade a Dell Poweredge 4300 computer with a MegaRAID SCSI controller

But I am not using a Dell Poweredge 4300 computer. My pc is a Pentium 2 350Mhz using Intel SE 440 BX2 motherboard. Years ago, in the same pc, when i install Win 2000 in another drive to make it dual boot, i encounter no such problem.

Anyone knows what this all about?
