Well the best I can come up with is a Failing HDD

by OH Smeg In reply to stop: 0x000000f4 (0x00000 ...

Or at least a Corrupted HDD. Here you really need to test the HDD with it's makers Testing Utility. To do this you can download your Makers Testing Utility from here and remember you want the DOS version as you don't want the computer to boot you want to run it from the DOS Prompt.

Or you could use the Ultimate Boot CD available here as it has most of the HDD Makers Testing Utilities on it.

The correct way to use this Testing Utility is to test the HDD in the computer that it's not booting and then if it fails that test remove it fir to another computer and retest. If it fails the second test the HDD is on it's way to Silicon Heaven if it hasn't already reached there but if it passes the second test the M'Board, Data Cable or Power Supply in the original Computer needs attention.

BSOD issue

by jconte229 In reply to stop: 0x000000f4 (0x00000 ...

I am trying to format a new SATA HD on a dell Precision 370 workstation, i use either a dell setup disc with windows XP sp2 or any other for that matter and i get the same response, on the second boot-up of the install of the new OS a blue screen appears with a stop message, as follow> Stop: 0X0000007B ( 0XBACC3528,0XC000034,0X00000000,0X00000000) I Have searched through every manual i have and also both Dell and Microsoft's website and they all refer to a bad boot disk or needing updated BIOS, well the CD's that i am using work on other machines with no issues and the BIOS is the only one allocated for this machine A08. i have run a hard drive test and it checkout fine by passing all tests ( Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 250gig)
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
JC
