stop error

I have a new dell dimension computer with windows xp getting error message saying it is dumping physical memory blue screen with a stop error message 0xc0000005, 0xef866a30, 0xef866998, 0x00000000
Can anyone out there tell me what this code means? Thanks for any help!

Check the memory DIMMs and reseat them. I know
it might sound funny but it might be backwards.
You say you can't put it in backwards, some
try. You said new, so I assume you mean it never
worked?? Dell is pretty good with T/S .

You can verify some thinks. 1) try to push firmly the memory card in the slot for better contact. 2) If you have more then 1 memory card verifies if there are the same type. You can try to boot with 1 card installed, maybe on of them is fault. (All this operations with power off)

Can you log into your computer to at least get to the internet, if so use the link below to fix your problem. Try to re-trace any steps you may have made, did you install any new hardware or software that may be incompatiable with your current configuration. If so uninstall it to see if it fixes your problem.
