Stop logging perfctrs Application Log

By spardus ·
Constant logging of following events in Application Log. Source is Perfctrs.
2100 - TDICollectPerformanceData routine entered.
2103 - A request for a counter object not provided by the TDI Collection routine was received.
4100 - CollectTcpIpPerformanceData routine entered.
4199 - CollectTcpIpPerformanceData completed successfully.

How do we stop these entries? We aren't running any performance monitoring. We did at one point to establish baselines, but have nothing running now.

Per the TCP performance counters, these can be found in the registry at:

\\HKLM\System\CurentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Performance

You might attempt to export the Performance key (using regedit.exe) to a file.reg (so as to restore it if needed) and then delete the values within the Performance key.

**NOTE** When modifying the registry..ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK
