Strange — Continual contact to a host

My machine strangely maintains almost continual
contact to a host at IP xx.xx.xx.x. I’ve checked the system tray, and remove a lot of possible programs which may cause this problem. But unfortunately the connection persists. I’m wondering how this host can go around my company firewall and keep that connection. How can I fix it?
Any of your help is greatly appreciated.
